How a Saturday conversation turned into a plan for hundreds of Nigerians to earn from the businesses they already know
On Saturday, our co-founder and CEO Ernest Obi did something founders do not do often enough. He sat down, live, with the people building Transactpay’s future from the outside, our Partners, and answered every question they had.
The session was called Become a Successful Transactpay Partner. What unfolded over two hours was less a webinar and more a working session on a simple, powerful idea: that the trust Nigerians already extend to one another, the recommendation passed between friends, the introduction made in a WhatsApp group, is one of the most valuable and least rewarded things in our economy. The Transactpay Partner Network exists to reward it.

Most referral schemes pay you once and forget you. The Partner Network is built differently. When a Partner introduces a business to Transactpay and that business starts processing payments, the Partner earns a share of everything that business processes, every month, for as long as they keep processing.
Refer once. Earn again and again. It is recurring by design, and it compounds: every new business a Partner introduces stacks on top of the last. One introduction becomes a stream. Several become an income.
The thing that makes the Partner Network different from every other side hustle being sold online is what it does not ask of you. You do not need capital. You do not need a product to sell. You do not need to post every day or build an audience. And crucially, you do not need to close the deal.
A Partner’s entire job is the introduction. Spot a business that needs a better way to collect payments, connect them to Transactpay, and step back. Our team handles the rest, the explanation, the demo, the onboarding, the ongoing support. The Partner still earns. In a market where every income guide is really selling you a second job, the Partner Network sells the opposite: you already did the work of earning people’s trust, now let it pay you.
Partners are not asking anyone to take a leap of faith. Transactpay is a payments platform operated by Transactworld Digital Services Nigeria Limited, licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria, with published licences and a live infrastructure status page anyone can check. It runs across three tiers so there is a fit for every business a Partner might know: Lite for small businesses and side hustles, Pro for growing businesses, and Ultra for large and enterprise operations. A market trader, a boutique, a school, a company, they all belong somewhere.
Ernest framed it best on the call. Nigeria is full of people with dense, trusting networks and no simple way to turn that trust into income. The Partner Network is infrastructure for exactly that, a way to monetise the introductions Nigerians already make every day, at no cost and no risk to the person making them.
Saturday was one conversation. The work now belongs to the Partners, and it starts with a single introduction. If you would like to be one of them, you can join in a few minutes.
